Working with public incentives from the City of Battle Creek and Local Economic Development, relocation operations can find an incentive opportunity in FCIP South Park.
Battle Creek Unlimited (BCU) serves as the lead economic development organization tasked with business attraction and job creation in the City of Battle Creek. For a company considering an investment in Battle Creek, BCU can provide a package of incentives and support tailored to the company’s needs.
BCU’s incentive awards are based on jobs, wages, industry and total project investment. The incentive is structured as a performance-based cash grant, paid when the company meets employment milestones. These incentives are separate and independent of any grants and subsidies which may be provided by the State of Michigan.
Should a company choose to invest in Battle Creek, BCU can also provide a temporary office space in its building in the Fort Custer Industrial Park, to be used by the company to establish an initial presence for project planning and management. BCU can provide telephone, internet and general administrative support for a period of up to one year if needed.
Finally, BCU will assist the company as it pursues incentives and support from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC).
